An Open Resource for Teachers and Lecturers

This Blog has been developed as a handbook for using 3D digital platforms such as Second Life to facilitate interactive story telling. It contains a series of activities for students new to Second Life to help them and their teachers to use Second Life effectively. Students will be able to explore, communicate and build in Second Life through a series of simple and enjoyable exercises.

This project has been developed with SWAP funding by the Multimedia group in the Faculty of Computing at London Metropolitan University.

This site contains a variety of resources helping staff and students to use the online 3D World Second Life as a creative platform. There are exercises for students with supporting material for teachers and lecturers. Accompanying this is a printed folder containing photo-copyable resources for use in class. (Please contact us if you would like one.)

Second Life allows these activities to be carried out within a conventional classroom or with staff and students in remote locations.
